Metropole Brisbane
Masquerade Charity
Ball 2023

such a success
Mark Creedon and staff at Metropole Property Strategists, for your unwavering help to put this event together.
Our Emcee, the popular Journalist and Brisbane's 7 News presenter: Kendall Gilding
The live music provided by Leroy Bath and his fantastic the "Mighty Rhythm Band" - the dance floor was crowded. The food was delicious and great prizes were given out with many guests going home with amazing auction items. It was loads of fun as was evident throughout the evening.
Rebecca Pask (Pask Media) for organising an amazing fashion show, one not to be missed.
Kylie Williams (KWP Studios, Fine Art Photography) who covered the evening beautifully from start to finish.
Emily Maddern (Event Sales Executive at Hotel Grand Chancellor) and Adam Tetro (Director of Technical Production, Scene Change) for the continual communication and support throughout the organising process.
And the highlight of the evening was knowing that your contribution was of significant benefit to the care of the children and support for their families who require assistance rendered by this truly amazing organisation.

Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, and one of only three children’s hospices in Australia. They provide specialised paediatric palliative care services to children and young people with a life-limiting condition, helping them make the most of every precious moment they have.
Paediatric palliative care focuses on enhancing a child or young person’s quality of life. At Hummingbird House, their multidisciplinary team do this by supporting guests to live their life to the fullest, for as long as they can. Their services include short break stays, crisis or symptom management, family support, neonatal/perinatal support, and a wide range of allied health care. They also provide families a caring embrace when the time comes to say goodbye to their child, as well as end of life care, after death care and grief and bereavement support. These services can be provided in a family’s home or community, or at their purpose built home away from home hospice in Brisbane.
The hummingbird represents the children they care for, as they are small, beautiful and delicate with a relatively short lifespan.
They understand that the emotional, physical, or financial struggle for some families can be overwhelming. Thanks to the generosity of corporate and community supporters, families do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses to receive their care and support.
Your donation, large or small, allows their services to be accessible to over 5,700 children in Queensland with a life-limiting condition, and their families.
